Today we’re diving into the world of data, specifically looking at dating apps.

No matter how much technology has changed how we date, we still face the same challenges as we did decades ago. From striking up the initial conversation to the perfect first date, it’s no easy task. With this in mind, we decided to look at the 10 most popular dating apps using the KIData tool.

We analyzed the mentions of these 10 dating apps in social networks:
Tinder, Bumble, OkCupid, Hinge,, Grindr, eHarmony, Coffee Meets Bagel, Happn, Facebook Dating.

When we look at the data, we see that interest in them has not decreased during the last 6 months:

The following graph shows the sources of mentions of these applications during the last 6 months, most of them on Twitter – 68.79%:

When it comes to finding love in the mobile age, it’s hard to topple Tinder, one of the biggest and best dating apps that also enjoys a wide reach.

To begin, let’s look at Google searches for both topics over the past three months and see how they compare:

Now, let’s compare the number of publications about these apps in the network, also in the past three months:

By comparing two or more queries, we can compare sentiments, emotions in posts, gender, find common hashtags and mentions, etc.
